IMG QUEST FOR PEACE
	DESCRIPTION
	About combat. This quest is fundamentally about expansion of trade, diplomacy and political bureaucracy. There are occasions where you’ll be required to accept combat contracts. There are a couple times when the combat might get intense. But, in most situations, if you want to fight, you do it on your own initiative. For that, there are plenty of opportunities, in plenty of star systems (many of which might still be new to you).
	INSTRUCTIONS
	1. Make a clone of your pilot profile. This IMG quest will advance your progress through step 99. Once a step is completed and the game is saved, you cannot step back. So, if you plan to complete SeeJay’s quest (after this quest has already been completed), for his quest you’ll need to use a pilot profile that hasn’t progressed past the original default quest. 2. Drag the original questext.dat file to a safe location outside the main game folder. 3. Place the modded questtext file in your main game folder. If you followed step2, it should not overwrite any other file. If you get a message asking to overwrite, select ‘No’ and then complete step 2. (If you’re using the Generic Mod Enabler, it will automatically back up the original questtext file; no need to manually remove the file from the game folder.) 4. Launch the game. 5. Select the ‘View Last Quest Message’ option in the News Console (press F3). 6. Follow instructions in the quest message. Note: This mod assumes you’ve already completed the original quest. It also assumes your ship either carries a wide variety of equipment and/or you know where to go to get what you need to complete either a contract or an assignment. This quest cannot be completed if you’re running a version of the game older than 1.440. You will, instead, get a CTD and error message after progressing through step 77 and attempt to dock as directed in step 78. If, for some reason, you must play using an older version of the game, post a comment to the fact in the Independent Merchants Guild section of the forum. If necessary, the questtext file can be split into two parts and successfully played without getting a CTD.
