WHAT'S THIS?
I got this crazy idea of creating a kind of quest for EM since I just love the game.
I had some thoughts about a story taking place in the Evochron Universe but realized that I
really suck at writing stories. LOL!

I asked someone that is extremely good at this, in my opinion, if he wanted to write a story for
my quest idea and he accepted the invitation to create this.

In the story there are some clues to where you need to travel in EM.
When you have figured out the position, you need to take off and do a space journey
to that location.

To be able to read this great story, you need to download the Questfile further down on this
page and install in your default EM directory.
This file is continuing the original IMG quest so that you don't loose your previous progress.
If you have not started or finished the IMG quest, you will have to take off from where you left
it before starting this Quest.

To be on the safe side, I suggest that you make a backup copy of your current profile before
installing. It's been tested and works fine, but you never know.

All you need to do is install the file, jump into your cockpit and read the "Last Message" post in
your Inventory Console and follow the instructions.

The quest involves both flying and reading on this UniNet site.

There is also a "Bar" section here where you might find some hints if you need them.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Drag the original questext.dat file to a safe location outside the main game folder.

2. Place the modded questtext file 1 in your main game folder. If you followed step1,
it should not overwrite any other file.
If you get a message asking to overwrite, select ‘No’ and then complete step 1.
(If you’re using the Generic Mod Enabler, it will automatically back up the
original questtext file; no need to manually remove the file from the game folder.)
You will be prompted in game to install file 2 eventually.

3. Launch the game.

4. Select the ‘View Last Quest Message’ option in the News Console (press F3).

5. Follow instructions in the quest message.

6. 3 Profiles are available for download if you want to keep your standard profile intact.
They all have the rank of Commander, basic loadout and enough cash to get you going.
The first of them has no Quest progress at all.
The second has the Race completed for those that have problems completing it.
The final one has the IMG Quest finished.

7. The IMG Quest included in the file is the same as the original regarding contracts.
However, we have tweaked it a little bit so it will fit our Quest better and it also contains
some clues and hints in a special section on this website. We recommend that you chose this
way of doing the Quest. Even if it means that you'll have to do the IMG Quest again, it's worth it!

8. Your username for the entire Quest is "Yeager". Passwords will be provided in the Quest.

Note: If you haven't finished the original IMG Quest, this Quest will continue where
you left it and force you to finish that first. Then continue with the new Quest.

My suggestion for all pilots is to use the profile with no quest progress since there is
information added to the original IMG quest. Both new pilots and veterans will enjoy this.
If you can't complete the race, just install and use the profile that has the race finished after
trying the race. That way you won't miss any information given in the quest itself.

DEVELOPING TEAM!
SeeJay: Original Quest idea, webdesign, graphics, universe exploration and Questfile writer.
Bossk: Author of the Quest story initial phase.
DaveK: Author of the Quest story, taking over where Bossk left it and finished it.
Amazing work by both authors but I must highlight that Dave did most of
the writing and did an amazing job with it.

Marvin: Beta-tester and questfile developer.
Without Marvins knowledge this would probably never have been fisnished.

Busch
: Proofreading of both quest files and story.
Peter Krol: Background Music.

THANKS!
I would like to make a special thanks to Vice, Marvin and Dave helping me to create
and finishing this Quest. Couldn't have made it without you guy's.
THANK YOU!

Also thanks to the Beta-Testers of the Quest.
Those that reported in continously are:

King Arthur
Austin
Maarschalk

Without your valuable and much appreciated input it would have never been as good as
it turned out to be.

DISLCAIMER
We, the dev team,  can not be held responsible for Pilots getting lost, runnig out of fuel
or getting killed in the process. This is completely your own fault.
